Obtain price quotes and read informative articles and advice about buying the right car at the right price. Yahoo! Autos produced 23 vehicles in our area with our test search, the Pontiac Vibe, which was the largest number of search results out of all the sites we reviewed.

Yahoo! Autos came in third because they don’t have videos of vehicle road tests and they use other car quote services sites for some of their information.

Service Features:  

Yahoo! Autos provides all you need to find a car that is best suited for you. To search for new, used and certified used cars, simply enter your choice from a drop–down menu of makes, models, years, prices, mileage and finally, your zip code and you will see a list of available vehicles in your area from auto dealerships and private sellers. The list includes a photo of each car, the price, the VIN number, the mileage and the location of the auto dealer. Another great feature is the 360° photograph tour from car manufacturers, which provides a complete interior and exterior view of the car(s) that interest you.

You can search through a large list of expert car reviews that include road and crash tests, vehicle specifications, reliability ratings, safety ratings and fuel economy ratings to help you decide what car is best for you. You can also read the opinions posted by people who have bought a specific car or truck. Although there is a large list of models for each make of car, we could not find the exact model of our test search and had to settle for an alternative.

Negotiate a fair price on a new car or truck by filling out a free price quote form and receive multiple quotes from local dealers.

Sell your car with Yahoo! Autos with two types of advertising packages: an online classified ad or an online classified ad plus an ad printed in AutoTrader magazine. Yahoo will also track the success of your ad through a chart that lists the number and dates of searches your ad has received.

For online classified ads:

• $15.00 includes 14 days without a photo.
• $40.00 includes a photo, a detailed description and the ad runs until your vehicle is sold.
• $55.00 includes multiple photos, a detailed description and the ad runs until your vehicle is sold.

For a photo and detailed description in an online classified ad plus an ad in AutoTrader magazine:

• $27.00 for two weeks.
• $37.00 for four weeks.
• $45.00 until your vehicle is sold.

Ease of Use:  

Yahoo! Autos is easy to use. For navigation, links to the major sections of the website are conveniently located near the top of the home page. You can also search the site with keywords or phrases. The home page is packed with links to the site’s features and third party advertising, but it doesn’t appear cluttered and information is easy to find.

Effective Search Results:  

For those of you who already know what car you want, we feel it’s important for a car quote services site to provide a large number of vehicles for sale in your area. Yahoo! Autos provided a list of 23 vehicles available from local auto dealerships and private sellers of our test vehicle.

Help/Support:  

Yahoo! Autos has a large list of FAQs about using their site; however, they only provide a feedback email form to contact them directly and a timely response to questions you may have is unlikely.
